A Burst of Color and Curb Appeal
In this residential front yard project, our client wanted to create a welcoming, vibrant entry that would add color and life to an otherwise plain space. The goal was to introduce perennials that would provide a dynamic range of colors throughout the spring and summer seasons. We carefully selected plants to achieve a stunning, season-long display of vibrant hues and textures, bringing energy to both the driveway entry and side yard.
At the back row, we planted Mount St. Helens Azaleas and Anah Kruschke Rhododendrons for their rich blooms and lush greenery. To add even more color and attract pollinators, we included Buddleia Miss Molly, known for its fragrant purple flowers that also draw butterflies. In front of these, we planted Sombrero Echinacea and Pow Wow Echinacea, as well as Rudbeckia Goldsturm to introduce shades of orange and yellow, ensuring a bright and bold display throughout the warmer months.
We also added Thymus Pink Chintz, a creeping thyme that provides a soft, low-growing mat of pink blooms in early summer, adding a touch of delicate color near the ground.
To complete the design, a Weeping Cherry Tree was placed strategically to provide vertical interest and draw the eye toward the front door, serving as a stunning focal point.
In another section of the yard, we introduced a mix of Weigela, Aphrodite Hibiscus, and additional Coneflowers, which contribute more bursts of color and texture, ensuring the landscape remains visually engaging from all angles.
The result is a vibrant, layered garden design that flows beautifully through the seasons, with each plant carefully selected to complement the next, providing a lasting impression of color, texture, and charm.
