Design concepts included designating a large lawn for the backyard and bringing in boulders to delineate the upper terrace from the lower, while also creating separation from the septic tanks; grading of the property, bringing in trees, plants, and gravel were also considered.

Concept plantings included: Feather Reed Grass, White Hydrangea, Crab Apple Trees, Deodar Cedars, and Pine Scotch Columnars.
