Designed for easy flow and seamless outdoor living, this backyard transformation blends clean hardscaping with an open, inviting plant palette. We began by extending the existing patio with matching stamped concrete, adding a custom gas firepit, and running a winding concrete path along the side of the house down to a dedicated pad for a garden shed. To prepare the site, we removed several overcrowded trees, opening up the footprint for three custom raised planter beds and sweeping new garden borders.

Surrounding the lawn, tall Weeping Lebanon Cedars and a Columnar Cupressina Spruce frame the perimeter with year-round structure and elegant texture. Skyrocket Junipers define vertical accents along the fences, providing a backdrop for climbing roses trained up decorative trellises. Anchored by a soft pink, purple, and white palette, the beds burst with pops of peonies, lavender, campanula, coneflowers, hydrangeas, and salvia. The result is a bright, functional space that transitions effortlessly from cozy firepit evenings to productive kitchen gardening.

Plantings include: Weeping Lebanon Cedar (Cedrus libani ‘Sargentii’), Columnar Cupressina Spruce (Picea abies ‘Cupressina’), Skyrocket Juniper (Juniperus scopulorum ‘Skyrocket’), Peonies (Paeonia spp.), Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), Campanula (Campanula spp.), Coneflowers (Echinacea purpurea), Hydrangea (Hydrangea spp.), Salvia (Salvia spp.), and Climbing Roses (Rosa spp.).
